FIFA World Cup Final: Spain vs Argentina from my 11 year old perspective
Hello everyone!
Today we have got a blog on the Final Match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup; Spain vs Argentina, coming exclusively from……. ME!
The World Cup Final! Ahhhhhh, what an interesting match!
So the match starts, Spain vs Argentina, pressure building in the air! Spain dominates the ball, with superb ball possession! And then all of a sudden, Yamine Yamal, 19, takes Spains first attempt on goal, in just the fifth minute of the game! But sadly, the goalie saves it! After that goal, Argentina starts tackling, tripping, and grabbing the Spain players from all over! But still, Spain managed to keep the ball, and kept going with the amazing goal attempts!
The way Argentina was fouling, made Mama, Nanu and Nani, (maternal grandparents) and I say, “Is this football, or rugby?!”
And then, after so many fouls from Argentina, the referee finally raised a yellow card for Enzo Fernández, in the 82nd minute of the game! The cause for this yellow card was dissent, and unsporting behaviour, because he reacted angrily for not receiving a foul call. In my head I was thinking, “Finally!”
The game continued with more amazing goal attempts from Spain, and more tackling from Argentina. Until… Enzo Fernández, gets another yellow card! (Which morph into a red card!) Fun fact: Enzo Fernández got sent off the field, and became the 6th player in history to get sent off- the third from Argentina! The foul happened when Fernández had the ball, and Pau Cubarsi came out of nowhere, and his foot caught on Fernández’s foot, and Cubarsi went flipping through the air! For me, and my family, it wasn’t Enzo Fernández’s fault, because Pau Cubarsi came out of nowhere, and stuck his foot in the middle!
After this foul, my Nanu, Nani, and Mama, went to bed! They were very sleepy, because I had forced them to stay up until now! My Nanu and Nani were saying, that we should have stayed up for the bronze final, because this match was not football it was rugby! ( Though Spain played phenomenally!) Personally, I was enjoying the rugby, because it was bringing out laughter in all of us! I was really annoyed with them for leaving, but I made Mama stay for five more minutes, by blackmailing her emotionally!
After Mama left, I only got to stay to watch, the wonderful assist from Nico Williams, and the incredible left footed strike from Ferran Torres! I couldn’t watch more, because the internet connection failed, and it wasn’t coming back, no matter how many times I pressed ‘ retry!’ So at 3 am I left the FIFA World Cup match, at 110 minutes, thoroughly happy, ( and a teeny weeny bit disappointed that I couldn’t watch more.)
I went to my Mama and Papa’s room to sleep, and found both of them fast asleep! I snuggled in between, and got knocked out!
